When we moved into our home, we found the previous owners had built a sheep hut and had fenced in about an acre of land with high tensile electric wire. It had been overgrown with weeds and many of the posts had rotted so we opted to replace the fence altogether. (The white electric netting in one of the pictures is our moveable fence that we used until the permanent fenced was finished. For the fall through early winter, we pastured the 4 out in the newly fenced area.

Attached to the house is an uninsulated barn/garage structure that we began converting quickly into a winter getaway for the sheep. We cut a door in the back side of it and built/mounted a sliding barn door. Inside, we built a large stall to separate where they would be from where we stored firewood. Above the minibarn is a hay loft attic space where we stacked hay bales for winter. We lucked out and the 100 acres that surrounds our land is hayed by a farmer on our road.
